VMware vExpert 2019

I am thrilled and proud to be selected for the first time as a vExpert. I was surprised when I found the “YOU ARE IN” email in my inbox. I thought that the vExperts would be announced next month. 😀

"If you are interested in becoming a vExpert the criteria is simple. We are looking for IT Professionals who are sharing their VMware knowledge and contributing that back to the community. The term "giving back" is defined as going above and beyond your day job. There are several ways to share your knowledge and engage with the community. Some of those activities are blogging, book authoring, magazine articles, CloudCred task writing, active in Facebook groups, forum (VMTN as well as other non VMware) platforms, public speaking, VMUG leadership, videos and so on."

I have been contributing and giving back to the VMware community through this blog (mulcas.com). This personal project has been growing fast in the past month. I use to write about troubleshooting and how-to guides, usually about vSphere and storage solution. I am putting a lot of effort on these posts, so they can be easily understood by anyone just starting in this awesome industry.

I am excited about the idea to keep contributing to the VMware and other IT communities since I really enjoy working with them.

You can check my vExpert profile here.

I was switching my storage array, so I migrated the VMs from that old datastore/storage to a new datastore/storage. The old datastore was shared by 3 ESXi hosts, no cluster. After migrating the VMs and unmount/delete the datastore, it was still presented in two of the ESXi hosts and was marked as inaccessible.
