How to remove the ssh yellow warning on ESXi 6.7 (HTML5)

WHAT:

After you enabled SSH to access remotely to an ESXi host, a yellow warning (shell warning) will show up next to the host indicating that the host is vulnerable. If you are like me, that hates having all social-network-like and distracting notifications; you’d want to remove it.

HOW:

If you are using the new HTML5 (fancy) client, here is how you do it.

1. Select the host and go to Configure / System / Advanced System Settings / Edit…

1. Type “ssh” to quickly filter the search. Under UserVars.SuppressShellWarning and type 1. Click OK.

The yellow warning is now removed.
